    Grote & Weigel recognizes your right to confidentiality and is committed to protecting your privacy.  Any information collected on our website is utilized internally to provide you with a rewarding and safe online shopping experience.  Your e-mail address is only used only to confirm your order, to notify you of any changes or updates to our online store, or to announce any special offers if you've signed up for this service. In addition, your contact information will never be shared or distributed to any other companies.

    Security:

    When you place an order online on our website, your personal information and credit card information are protected using GoDaddy’s 256-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology before being sent over the Internet, making it virtually impossible for your information to be stolen or intercepted while during any browsing or transaction periods.

     

    Online Pricing:

    Our online prices include taxes as well as all shipping and handling fees.  All prices are subject to change without notice.

     

    Payment Options:

    Visa, MasterCard, Diner’s or American Express are all accepted when placing your order online.  Since payment is required at the time of purchase, Paypal, cash and COD orders are prohibited.

    Shipping & Handling:

    All products are delivered overnight via FedEx to the contiguous 48 states to guarantee our product’s freshness. Our packaging is perishable, so please ensure that 1) you are not shipping to a P.O. Box, APO or FPO address 2) all addresses and contact information are accurate 3) someone is present to receive the delivery for proper handling.  Grote & Weigel cannot be held responsible for incorrect addresses or unattended packages. 

     

    Return Policy:

    If you are not satisfied with the quality of our product, please contact us at either customerservice@groteandweigel.com or toll-free at (800) WIENER-0 between the hours of 7AM and 3PM, Monday through Friday to detail your reasoning to qualify for a refund to the credit card used at the time of checkout.   As noted above, Grote & Weigel cannot be held responsible once the product is delivered to your home due to its perishable status.

     

    Packaging:

    Holiday hams and turkeys are shipped unfrozen wrapped in a heavy gold foil and placed in a heavy-duty freezer bag for your convenience.  For shipping, they are then wrapped in a padded insulation sleeve and placed in a Styrofoam cooler and then gift boxed.

     

    Gift Messages:

    Optional gift messages can be printed on quality stationary with the approximate size of a post card.  Limit is 75 characters per message.

     

    Pick-Up Option:

    If you wish to place an order and pick up your order in person at our Bloomfield, CT location, please feel free to contact us directly at either customerservice@groteandweigel.com or toll-free at (800) WIENER-0 between the hours of 7AM and 3PM, Monday through Friday.  These specific orders cannot be processed online at this time since our customers will be charged on a per pound basis.

    Instructions for Handling, Preparation & Recipe Suggestions (included with each order):

     

    Storage & Handling:

      

    Keep refrigerated at 40 degrees or less. If not used within 10 to 15 days, we recommend you freeze the ham. Freezing will retain the ham's wholesomeness and flavor for 3 to 4 months.

     

    Preparation & Heating:  

     

    Your ham is fully cooked and only needs heating before serving. Preheat oven to 325 degrees, allowing 10 minutes per pound for heating. For best results, place ham on rack in shallow baking pan. Pour 1 cup water in bottom of pan. Form loose tent of aluminum foil over ham. Note: this keeps ham from drying during heating. Add more water during heating if necessary.

     

    Recipe Suggestions:

     

    Before heating, cover ham with pineapple rings (attach with toothpicks or cloves). Coat ham with brown sugar and follow preparation instructions. Remove aluminum foil for 15 minutes before baking is complete. This reduces moisture and gives the pineapple slices a delicious, candied flavor. Remove all toothpicks or cloves before serving. Enjoy!
